Novare Fellowship
What is the Novare Fellowship?
The fellowship is a mentor and cohort-based formation experience designed to develop and support the next generation of faculty and deans working in theological education. Fellows learn to attend carefully to institutional, teaching and professional, and personal formation so they can respond to change with wisdom, creativity, and faithfulness. The Novare Center’s work is oriented toward adaptive change, not merely quick fixes. The Fellowship helps participants live into new models, practices, and ways of being within theological education, while flourishing in their own roles and responding faithfully to their unique contexts.
A Learning Community
Join a cohort of peers who are curious, reflective, collaborative, and willing to experiment and learn together.
Ongoing Mentorship
Receive guidance and perspective from a Novare mentor throughout the Fellowship.
Shared Conversation
Participate in monthly online cohort gatherings, along with select in-person gatherings supported by Novare.
Room to Experiment
Explore new models, practices, and ways of being within theological education—not simply as quick fixes, but as meaningful responses to a changing landscape.
Fellows will leave with a greater awareness of how formation is occurring within their institutions, professional practices, and personal lives; an increased ability to respond creatively to needed change; and a willingness to adapt formational practices to better align with their goals. Ideal candidates are faculty, deans, and emerging leaders in theological education who are curious, reflective, collaborative, and willing to experiment and learn.
